Our Goals

Concrete Objectives Rooted in Our Mission

Our goals are not vague aspirations — they are specific commitments that direct our work and measure our progress. Each goal flows directly from our mission to uphold Catholic principles and Polish national identity, and each one represents a concrete contribution to the cultural and spiritual renewal of our society.

Together, these goals form a coherent strategy: to form individuals, strengthen communities, shape culture, and cooperate with partners across Christian Europe in pursuit of a shared inheritance and a shared future.

01

Promote Catholic Social Teaching

To disseminate and apply the social doctrine of the Catholic Church to contemporary Polish life — providing citizens with a coherent, morally grounded framework for understanding economics, politics, culture, and family life.

02

Cultivate Polish National Identity

To strengthen the historical memory, patriotic awareness, and cultural pride of Polish citizens — especially the young — through education, commemorative events, and engagement with the rich legacy of Polish civilisation.

03

Advance Classical Education

To promote and support a model of education rooted in the classical tradition — forming persons of virtue, reason, and wisdom rather than merely training functional workers — through curricula development, workshops, and study programmes.

04

Foster Historical Awareness

To cultivate a deep and accurate understanding of Polish and European history among citizens of all ages, countering historical revisionism and ensuring that the sacrifices and achievements of past generations are properly honoured and remembered.

05

Strengthen Civic Responsibility

To form citizens who understand their duties — to God, to family, to community, and to nation — and who are prepared to fulfil those duties with competence and integrity in every sphere of public life.

06

Organise Catechetical Formation

To provide systematic, theologically sound catechesis for adults, youth, and families — ensuring that the faithful have a firm grounding in the content of the Catholic faith and are capable of explaining and defending it.

07

Develop Cultural Initiatives

To organise and support cultural events — lectures, film screenings, exhibitions, and artistic performances — that reflect Catholic and Polish values, provide intellectual enrichment, and contribute to a living culture of tradition.

08

Shape Public Discourse

To actively participate in and influence public debate in Poland, contributing a clear voice grounded in Catholic anthropology, historical consciousness, and love of homeland to discussions on culture, education, family, and society.

09

Build European Christian Networks

To establish and maintain meaningful partnerships with likeminded Catholic and Christian foundations, organisations, and institutions across Europe — fostering cooperation, solidarity, and the exchange of ideas and initiatives.

10

Form the Next Generation

To invest in the intellectual, moral, and cultural formation of young Poles — equipping them with the knowledge, values, and convictions needed to be faithful Catholics, proud citizens, and active contributors to the life of their communities.

Every goal we pursue is ultimately in service of one deeper aim: to pass on to the next generation a heritage worth having and a civilisation worth defending.

A Long-Term Vision for Polish Culture

The work of cultural renewal is never completed in a single generation. FUNDACJA "VEXILLA REGIS" takes the long view — measuring success not only by the events we organise or the publications we produce, but by the quality of the persons we help to form and the communities we help to build.

Our long-term vision is a Poland whose public life is genuinely shaped by Catholic principles and national tradition — a Poland that is proud of its heritage, confident in its identity, and generous in sharing the fruits of that heritage with its European neighbours.

We work toward that vision one catechesis at a time, one lecture at a time, one film screening at a time — trusting that patient, serious cultural work bears fruit in ways that are not always immediately visible.
